Anti Racism
The client for this project was Respectful Communities- an organisation at Monash promoting equal and respectful behaviours throughout the university campus. The client wanted a video that would inform staff and students of Monash about racism.
Through my animated explainer video, I chose to explore the topic of anti-racism, and to make my video approachable (without taking away from its serious message), I created characters and illustrations that were cute and comforting. Additionally, i used a mix of direct and indirect means of representing the audio via my illustrations. This allowed for some of the more complicated ideas to become
easily comprehensible.

Story Board
I decided to start and end my video with a book to quite literally give the impression of going back in time to tell a story. While most of the scenes in my storyboard were similar to the ones that I ended up using in my explainer video, there were some changes that I made to my final frames. These changes included reducing the number of words displayed in some scenes, as it was difficult for viewers to take in too much text in such a short amount of time.
